Mauer is a strategic thinker with a natural ability to translate consumer data and understanding into business-building recommendations. His background is varied but it has always had, at the heart of it, a desire to serve the consumer.
Mauer is the steady hand that drives the research consulting practice at Vivid. He leads the Dr. Oetker research team in Canada, liaising with global colleagues, and runs on-going projects with clients such as Heart & Stroke, GSK, Hershey, RBC, and McDonald’s.
Co-founding the business in 2008, Vivid Connections Inc. is the culmination of Mauer’s experience in many aspects of marketing. Previous tours of duty include heading up the National Marketing team at Sobey’s, leading marketing insight for the Unilever Savoury business as well as roles at Kraft, Labatt, Bell, Vickers + Benson and Gallup.
Mauer is a creative researcher and a people person. He thrives in a collaborative team environment where he can use data to figure things out and help others shine. Mauer’s calm presence and sharp wit in business building meetings and brainstorms inevitably helps to produce phenomenal ideas and solutions.
Mauer is an active member of MRIA and ESOMAR. He lives in downtown Toronto with his partner. He is a passionate foodie and a voracious reader.
